Free Oldies Music from Online Radio

I am a fan of oldies music, particularly from the 60′s and some doo-wop from the 50′s. I am sure there are lots of other baby boomers with similar tastes. I have found your music – for free!
Where are all the Oldies Music Stations?
Now, just like free online TV programming, online radio has come to our rescue. You may have already discovered this but in case you are new to the online listening club, here are a few of my favorite Internet radio channels for oldies music:
Pandora – So far, this is by far the best listening option for oldies music fans. You can design your own listening station by telling the Pandora service what you like to listen to – songs, artists, genre or all of the above. As you listen to different songs, you can give it a thumbs up or thumbs down so that Pandora will learn your likes and dislikes. The selection of available oldies artists is comprehensive. Did I say that it was 100% free? Give it a try and I think you will be hooked.
AccuRadio - This Internet radio station has predefined music channels including about 30 different oldies music stations. One feature I like about AccuRadio is that for the 60′s channel for example, it is easy to select sub-channels for particular types of oldies music. You can also “ban” certain artists that you don’t like from the play list. Sweet! This is my second favorite online oldies music source.
AOL Radio – Links you to hundreds of different Internet radio stations, including about 30 different oldies radio stations. Some are feeds from terrestrial radio while others are Internet-only channels.
SKY.FM – Streams a variety of free Internet radio stations but only one oldies channel that I could find.
Slacker – is another customizable online radio music source with a high quality 60′s oldies channel.
Live365 – Has links to 6,000+ radio stations including hundreds of oldies stations. There is almost too much info here to make it useful.
Jango – Has a concept similar to Pandora in that you can customize the play list to suit your taste. It makes it very easy to select and play individual songs. Lots of oldies available.
Yahoo Music – Has a service called LaunchCast in partnership with CBS Radio. It provides links to a limited number of terrestrial radio and online play lists. I like its Doo-Wop channel in particular.
Radio Tower – Is another aggregator of online radio stations but it has way too many ads on the page to suit me.
GotRadio – Is yet another on online radio network that plays on songs that you select on demand. Decent oldies music selection.
If you like to work and listen to music (and your employer doesn’t firewall streaming music), give these a listen. You will probably settle on Pandora or AccuRadio like me but if you are in the mood for some old school DJ talk, one of the regular Internet radio stations my suit you as well.

I think you’ve sold Slacker a bit short here. Beyond having a 50′s Hits, 60′s Hits and an Oldies station, they (like Pandora) offer the ability to type in your favorite artist/song and create a station that way.
Beyond that, you can build a station with as many artists as you want and hear a station with just those artists.
They also have Fine-Tune sliders to adjust song pick Popularity, Age, etc.
I find it far more satisfying than any of the other online options you’ve mentioned in terms of playing a great mix of music that perfectly suits my tastes.
I am looking for some oldies from the 50′s to listen too. Do you have a radio station i can listen to on the internet…
