Worst Case Scenario Retirement Planning

Regular readers know that for retirement planning I am a proponent of preparing for the worst and building from there. That is the subject of a post I wrote for a new collaborative retirement blog published by U.S. News and World Report.
< Entitled “Three Worst Case Scenarios to Avoid,” I talk about inadequate retirement income, inflation, and long term care events.
Other scenarios to avoid as a baby boomer planning for retirement:
- Condo defaults by neighbors affecting owners left behind. (Check out this story about what has been happening in Florida.)
- Investing in the Euro (More bad news ahead for Europe.)
- Debt as an obstacle to retirement at any age.
- Identity theft. (Find out if your identity has been stolen.)
Yes, these are just a few of the land mines in our path to a contented retirement.
