I’m leaving Wednesday with Mrs. P to join thousands of other baby boomers and retirees at the AARP Orlando 50+ National Member Event. As one of the three official guest bloggers for the event, you will be seeing at least two posts each day (September 29-October 2) from me. I will try to make them interesting and informative. I hope to get a few interviews as well, as the AARP is granting me some media credentials. Does that mean I can get away with some even stronger opinions without fear of retaliation?
I understand there will be 25,000 + attendees. This is my first time attending an AARP event. I am curious about where the age concentrations will be and the relative percentages of those who are retired and those who hope to be. I have much to learn from each group.
Take a look at the schedule. If you have requests or suggestions for topics you would like to read more about from me, leave a comment on this post. Also, don’t forget that you can participate remotely by signing up here.
I will be using a video camera that the AARP supplies. If I find something worthy of sharing visually, look for an embedded video in some of my posts.
Stay tuned for much more and wish me luck!

Know you seem to be focusing on Boomers, since you, apparently are one, but don’t forget about some of us tail end of the WWII crowd who are still active, maybe even working part time as I do.
Hi Everyone,
For the last 3 months I have been hosting a radio show called The Caregiver Hour in Tampa Bay area and because so many baby boomers are listening to the show, I’m looking forward to meeting some of the vendors, attending the educational break out sessions and having a good time.
Be well,
Kim
